Our story

A quiet home for the lonely hours.

I've lived in London long enough to know that some of the loneliest hours happen in the middle of a crowd. The tube at rush hour. A café on a Saturday. The walk home from a hospital appointment when the city keeps moving and you just need someone to sit with what you're holding.

I'm in remission from cancer. On the good days I forget. On the hard days I want to talk to someone who understands without needing the whole story explained. Not a therapist — not always. Sometimes just another human on the other end of a quiet text thread.

I looked for that and couldn't find it in a form that felt right. Support groups asked me to show my face on a video call. Apps asked me to journal alone. Nothing sat in the middle: anonymous, gentle, and made of other people.

So we're building it.

Stillnesses is anonymous text-based listening circles for the topics that keep people up at night — grief, parenting burnout, social anxiety, life after illness. No cameras, no names, no pressure to perform being okay.

You can also be matched 1:1 with a buddy walking a similar chapter, and — when you need more than peer support — book a private session with a UK-registered practitioner.

We're opening city by city, starting in the UK. If any of this resonates, leave your email below. When your city opens, we'll let you in first.
