Terms of use

Draft — pre-launch.

Not therapy

Stillness offers peer support, not medical, psychiatric, or psychological treatment. Hosts and members of listening circles are peers, not clinicians. Nothing said in a circle should be treated as clinical advice or diagnosis.

In a crisis

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact 999 or call the Samaritans on 116 123 (free, 24/7, UK). Stillness is not an emergency service.

Community rules

  • Be kind. Assume good faith.
  • Keep what's shared in a circle confidential.
  • No advertising, recruiting, or promoting products.
  • No harassment, hate speech, or advice you're not qualified to give.
  • You must be 18 or over to use Stillness.

We may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules.

Practitioners

Practitioners listed on Stillness are independent professionals, not employees. They are responsible for their own registration (HCPC, GMC, BACP, UKCP, etc.), insurance, and the care they provide.

Changes

These terms will be updated before general availability. We'll notify registered users of material changes by email.
